(1)    Form a diversified Retail Industrial Development Authority for both Anniston and McClellan.

(2)    Education Plans

(A)     Establish supportive, working relationship with BOE and children.

(B)     Resource officer at Anniston High School.

(C)     Start Second Chance School for county dropouts.

(D)     Offer county-wide special education classes in agriculture at McClellan.

(E)      Refurbish ballparks in Golden Springs, Nettles, Randolph, and Norwood for inter-city play.

(3)    Crime and Police Department

(A)     More significant police presence all over city.

(B)     Better response time by police.

(C)     Stress drug activity, violent crimes, and robberies over traffic violations.

(D)     Monitored security cameras in high crime areas.

(4)    Business Growth

(A)     Modernize business license system and fee.

(B)     Commercial developments near Eastern Parkway, Old Food World Plaza, Chalkline property, W. 15th St. properties, and Golden Triangle area of McClellan.

(C)     Encourage Governor Riley to include Anniston participants when recruiting global trade links for Alabama.

(5)    City Growth

(A)     End police jurisdiction.

(B)     Demand yard debris pickup.

(C)     Civil Rights Park/Freedom Rider Museum.

(D)     Chastain Park-like amphitheater on McClellan.

(E)      VA hospital with dental on McClellan.

(F)      Think tank completion of parkway between an Anniston committee and Governor of state.

 
 POLICIES...
 

(1)    Hold regular ward meetings and annual ward cleanup campaign.

(2)    Inspire a diversified new group to lead city’s boards, committees, and commissions.

(3)    Plan short and long-range plans for fiscal growth for whole city.

(4)    Strict adherence by city of open bidding over $7500.

(5)    Funding in place on all major projects before project starts (Eastern Parkway project or the half-baked road).

(6)    Strengthen JPA and JPA Marketing Committee membership to include women, power brokers and public alike, and ministerial pool.

     As Anniston’s next Mayor I will promote growth for the whole city to improve education, increase property values, rebuild the population, and create a friendlier and safer city in which to work, play, and live.

Wednesday August 6th from 11:30-1 at Classic on Noble.... Gene was the guest speaker at the Women's Republican Club. His speech was centered on the importance of women in leadership roles in government in the city of Anniston, Alabama during the future Robinson administration, particularly since no importance has been placed on women in leadership roles in the in the city of Anniston, Alabama by the present Howell administration.
